going through thousands of posts in other threads is time consuming and what you did is appreciable.

in the AOR's CHC Singapore infored everyone that Visas would be issued on priority basis but they never mentions what the priorities would be; my guess is : areas where Canada has shortage of skilled people, more IELTS scorers, genuine and solid PoF. currently its clear that 0213, Teachers, finance and accounting people are not welcomed as they were in 2009-2010. I wish there was a data or picture which could say how many migrants and of which NOC's are doing what after they migrated to Canada. this is for sure that the situation is shocking as Canadians dont hire people in white collar jobs without seeing any Canadian degrees in applicants. so the situation is understandable.

morever, Canada needed more money to be injected into their economy from these migrating people in 2009-2010 so they issued highest number of visas during that time. what haque said was right. their decisions do not change that much when the election is over. if CHC's around the world can stop issuing MR's and visas for the time being, then they can speed up the process anytime of issuing them once again in full swing.

Now frm Jan 2011 till Apr 2011 only 128 visas were granted through SG VO meaning around 32 visas in a month. Their target is to issue at least 90 visas per month and where they are in shortfalls.

Any source Haque? I can believe in words of mouth though.

Points claimed for relatives is one of the most liked ways by CIC as they believe that faster chances are more for migrants to get jobs and economically established if the migrants have financially well established relatives in Canada. At the same time, there is no reason to think 100% that an applicant wouldnt be successful in Canada without taking help from relatives if there is any.

Again, we'll have to abide by their decisions, not ours.

There is no need for certain scenerioes about their survival in CA.
We all guessing that the situation are extremly wrost than ever.
Everybody should reschedule their plannings for migration to a hostile environment and so do I

janathan

I am solely planning to reschedule my migration policy which certainly should be negative .
There is no meaning to put myself in totaly uncertain environment and day after day it will be more hard for everyone to do so.
So think again (don't take it otherwise it is only an openion from my point of view).

We r allmost passing two years and don't know how many days we need for our dreams come true in the mean time lot of happenings already been happened in our professions and real life which only affect us negetively and it is going on.................................until u know!
I am not discouraging any body.
Its only an openion

On May 2, 2011 Canadian citizens will be casting their vote in an election to either re-elect the governing Conservatives, or to elect a new party and Prime Minister. The outcome of this election may have important implications for Canadian immigration.

Canada has five major parties running for election. While many parties agree on certain issues, such as the need to improve the efficiency of the immigration system, they each have their own views on what changes need to be made to Canada’s immigration system. The following are some promises made by each party during the election campaign:

Conservatives

If re-elected, the Conservatives have promised to:

* Get tougher on human smuggling;
* Streamline the process for deporting foreign criminals;
* Impose a two year conditional Canadian permanent resident status for applicants who are sponsored by a spouse or common-law partner and who have been in that relationship for less than two years; and
* Have foreign credentials recognized in Canada faster and more easily.

Liberals

If elected, the Liberals have promised to:

* Reduce wait times for immigration applications and increase efficiency of the current Canadian immigration system;
* Increase the number of visas that are issued in the Family Class Category;
* Increase federal funding for language training programs in Canada for those wanting to improve their English or French proficiency; and
* Improve the system of recognizing foreign credentials in Canada.

NDP

If elected, the National Democratic Party has promised to:

* Improve immigration wait times and fast-track family reunification;
* Reduce the backlog of applications at the visa offices;
* Develop better procedures and appeals for those applying for visitor visas;
* Accelerate the recognition of foreign credentials in Canada;
* Reinstate federal funding for immigrant settlement agencies, especially those cut in Ontario;
* Implement the “Once in a Lifetime Act” which would allow Canadians a one-time opportunity to sponsor a relative who is not a member of the family class to come to Canada; and
* Ensure tough laws against crooked consultants are enforced.

Green Party

If elected, the Green Party promises to:

* Allocate greater funding for language training programs in English and French in Canada;
* Establish a program for people living in Canada without official status that will lead to full landed immigrant status;
* Improve the integration of newcomers into Canadian society;
* Toughen and enforce regulations governing the practice of immigration consultants; and
* Amend the Anti-Terrorism Act and the Public Safety Act so that formal charges can be brought against all those detained.

Parti Quebecois

Throughout the election campaign, the Parti Quebecois have been fairly quiet on issues regarding immigration. They recently released a document which proposes several changes to their own immigration programs within the province of Quebec (full story can be found here); however they have not discussed changes they would make to federal immigration policies.

The 2011 election is important to potential immigrants and Canadians alike as a new government can mean changes to current immigration policies, but whether all of these promises will actually be kept remains to be seen.

Friends pls see this also.......

Dear haque
So, Every partiy is commited to improve the current immigration process. This is positive sign.

dont know about everyone but i know about two of my colleagues who are doing extremely good without hovering and having a canadian degree. one of them got job in orascom telecom and he used to work for robi here in BD. he is getting 38000 CAD after tax.... and he used to be an asst. manager here. another one was also frm robi and she works for IKEA as Inventory manager (IT) and she is drawing 52000 CAD. Astonshing? it is, isnt it.

There are both good and bad examples..... depends on few things: LUCK, CAPABILITY, COURAGE, KNOWLEDGE and ATTITUDE. Once u have these u will have a good chance to secure a good life in anywhere oif the world. My husband is working in a top no real estate company as an executive director and he is the one who discourage about having a life in overseas, however he was the one who pursued me to apply, and as now it is taking more time than our expectations, he is getting negative about the fact. so i will say it is about time and patience. lets pray to almighty to make things happen.
