hi, does any one know about traveler's medical insurance? someone told me that it would be cheaper if could buy it from dhaka. is it possible? as i have two kids i don't want to take the risk of remained uninsured form three month. thanks

Dear Dr.habib,

I am not sure about the insurance service issued from Dhaka.

But, due to my professional reasons, I had to stay abroad for couple of months. I have used the health insurance service from Worldnomads. (www.worldnomads.com). They have two types of health/Life insurance policy. You can order it online. Basic policy valid for 3 months for a family shall cost US$626.00 and Premium policy will be US$ 926.00. You can get a customized quote from their website.

FYI, you cannot claim anything throgh this policy in your home country i.e. Bangladesh.

I hope this may help you.

From total applicant around globe 25% comes from India and another 25% comes from manila visa office.

Total visa office around the globe is approx 40

If we take India and manila visa office rest comes from the 38 visa office.

Now if we take the average of 12000 posts june applicant, S vo office has approx 167 applicant.

Now for the 2011 visa granted for the svo is 1100 which is approx 15 % of the total applicant.

Now the rest goes to the pre June applicant who applied between 2008 and 2010. and the 2006 and 2007 February applicant.

Remaining visa is 85% which will be allocated to this two category applicant.

Now if we split 85% in this two category around 42% will be for the pre June applicant.
Now we can guess that for the pre June approx visa will be 397 visas for the fsw1.

THIS APPROX STRATEGY IS ONLY FOR THE S VO ONLY.

Now if some one can provide me the figure of pre June and 2006 to 2007 Feb. applicant then we will be able to see, what will happen to them.

From this figure some nocs BFD is at later stage and those are very high in number, if we take those out , we will be able to find out and see the picture of 2011.

If you like the strategy provide +1 for me

teaspoon

Anyway , i have got the figure of applicant from 2007 to 2010 june, i mean for the pre june applicant. This figure is 144000.

now from this we can guess that Singapore visa office has approx 1500 pre june applicant waiting for the decision to be made. Now from this only approx 400 people will get the visa in 2011( financial year 2012 june). now the cic has 14 months forecast times for processing , it will fail severely.

The rest 500 in 2012 ( june to june 2013) and rest 500 in 2013( june to june 2014).

now what are the options we have ! >:(

Teaspoon,

good analysis, but they cant afford to lessen the number of visa issuance as per the Minister, in 2011, Canada will experience more retirees than University graduates, it means more jobs will stay vacant. on top of everything, they have decreased the funding as you or someone else have already pointed out which is actually true, the system has indeed been forced to have lost its momentum. Singapore had a quota of issuing 1100 PR visas to Primary applicants for the year 2010 and they will surely continue to do it for MI-2 and Mi-3 and a very few of MI-1( Pre June 2010) in the year 2011. apparently many of the pre June 2010 applicants have their BF'd dates in 2013,so this would be validated in the coming 5-7 months. consolatory words are that we will surely cross the bridge when we get there...

hman28,

How many countries and their health sectors recognize worldnomads.com? who recommended it to you? have you got your money back or you are continuing its policy? who are its competitors?

Hi

CIC encashed my BD. However, I sent xerox copy of my academic transcript. Is that means CIC accept my application without original academic transcript.

yeah! they will ask this at later stage!

xerox copy should be attested by notary public ? it will serve the purpose.

I also sent notarized xerox copies of all academic certificates including the transcripts. Some of our senior members told me if they need the original one, they would ask you to send further. So, don't send them until they require.

~Deba

They need original transcript in a University sealed envelope. Certificates can be notarized copies. If you send xerox of transcript, application won't be returned, but they will ask for the original transcript at a later stage.

Samirsa, I already replied to your post before. Even mute_man agreed, that BD en-cashing doesn't mean PER is already obtained. Another thing I want to remind is you don't have to worry for PER. If you wish you can go to the following link and get confirmation about what I'm saying.

Don't worry samirsa, PER is coming soon. InshAllah. :)
