How it can be capped and there were only 227 by mid of November as last update from citizen office
227 only includes the number of applicant until end of July, One of my friends applied on July was charged in the middle of November.

I hope it never happens, but if you received your application back please update other members of the group.

I just hope they process it as returned application as it was initially received on 29/09

Any Update by PhD Stream applicant by Dec 2014 would be very helpful & appreciated

I have made a case specific inquiry and waiting for that, Will update you once I received new information.

Great. But don't forget that CIO respond in more than a month. So we will have to wait for so long till we hear back from them :-(

Any one have any updates? It seems like charging for other NOCs has also slowed down.

The last person in Phd category that got charged was Dec 1 applicant and got charged Feb 4th and received his PER Feb 18.
So its been a month since the last charge, I guess we all know what that means! :(

My call was finally put through. The lady said the office is quite busy with respect to applications received in December so that delay could possibly be normal. She said there's nothing I could do but wait.

I did ask about the cap and she told me she didn't have this information... ???

It may be capped, I think we have to start thinking about EE.

That's what I was thinking of today, opening an EE profile wouldn't hurt! But since most of us don't have a job offer it might be better to finish the degree and apply as provincial nominee (safest way!)

I have the same question, Yes we do not have job offer but the question is: how many applicants have job offer? I looked at the excel file in canadavisa website and I see only fee people have job offers. I do not think filling express entry application has negative effects on current status but we need to do more inquires. I think we have chance at least for the fifth and sixth draws.

I think we should wait and see.my friend applied late June and got charged mid of October silo they did take time in processing.it is just really frustrated long wait with no updates.

An EE profile has absolutely no negative effect on our current application. It's just that our points without job offer is low ;) but what's to loose!

Yes we have to wait, but the waiting time for June-August applicants were different. Please see the excel spreadsheet in canadavisa for 2014 FSW applicants. It gives a very helpful information. It seems that they stopped PhD stream.
