Hi guys,

Just 10 days left for my work permit to expire, just trying my luck by requesting extension of work permit (BOWP) on the basis of AINP file no.

Did anyone come across any situation wherein a person has got an extension without the nomination?

Its time to pack my bags i reckon, even after having such a good job with 45k annual income in B category :(

Anyways best of luck to everyone and hope some common sense prevails in Government of Alberta and Canada.

Thanks

My timeline is

Applied: June 22nd
File no Received: 10th september

Try the extension as proposed. But I will advise you renew your VISA and stay around if possible. Don't give give up! Your nomination might knock on your door after 6 to 8 months from application date.

Goodluck

Thanks for the advise:) however the moment they reject my extension of work permit, i cant work anymore and hence my AINP file becomes irrelevant/garbage.

So there is absolutely no use even if i stay on Visitors Visa.

The fact of the matter is Canada keeps harping that they require SKILLED labor but the inured fact is, they are mainly interested in retaining people who do labor jobs!

One of the prime eg is the LMOS for all the lower level jobs gets approved with ease and without any fuss!

I can assure you that your PNP is not a waste. Renew your VISA and send it to the AINP, letting them know that you are still in Canada. Just do that.

How do i renew my Visa? and what kind of visa are you trying to mention?

And how do i trust AINP, what if my file is opened after 1 year....lol

Thanks again for the advice, but its not at all pragmatic or feasible:)

Looks like "NOC category A (Project Manager). applied for the AINP in June, I received my file number on september. International category - EDS"

Probably NOC 0711.

OK this is weird haha, how do you know exactly what I applied for bambooshka?

And yes, exactly like that. NOC 0711 (Project Manager). Under International graduate - EDS.

AINP application: June 19th.
File number: September 8th.
Nomination: December 2nd (found out about it yesterday).

I have no idea if they called the company. I work in Calgary but general manager is in Kelowna's office, so maybe they did and she didn't tell me. I'll find out today. This was quick, I wasn't expecting it anymore, but I'm glad it happen. Maybe my position is more relevant? Has anybody else applied under this NOC?

I recently switched my job and my new NOC is 0711 Jr Project Manager- Mechanical
I notified ainp and i got an email from program officer asking me to submit additional documents from new employer, she said she is processing but sadly though by the time my package received ainp office ( took only 3 days after I received email) they ran out of quota. So i guess my waiting will continue
