after 8 months waiting,.there is still no updates, is that a bad sign?

Hi,
I got my file number on March 25, it shows my application has been received on March 5th, but by far my application status is still APPLICATION RECEIVED, why is there no updates after 8months? Is that a bad sign?

relax, no news is good news, it means they didn't find trouble in your case, or their policy become nice to accept you.

insist for more a while, everything will be good.
