36 months passed. I applied in November 2010.
So in November 2013 I hired a lawyer and "am going to court" for Mandamus!

Who else here has hired a lawyer and works towards Mandamus?
Please share your experiences as you go.

I have interviewed several lawyers. Some interviews were free, some not. 1 consultation costed 200$ and another one 300$ (which I cancelled). The fees for the Case quoted to me were 3600$, 5000$ and 7500$. I am at the very beginning, but will gladly report on how it will go on. Please share your experiences.
Here is My experience I applied November 2009
I received RQ in 2011
November 2012 I hired a lawyer and worked towards Mandamus after 2 weeks CIC transferred my application to the Citizenship Judge.
May 2013 I had Interview with CJ and she requested for more document and I did my test orally , in August 2013 I got the Refusal letter because I failed my exam after I asked CIC to give me another chance to do written exam like any other applicant ,they refused I went to appeal in federal court also I got refusal after hearing than I had no choice I had to apply again, I applied October 2014 lets wait and see good luck in your mandamus.

Do you remember the month in which the federal court decided your case. Thanks

Hi drakef2000- Did you order your ATIP? Was you able to see any notes that might help?

I got my Aitp last week . All I found was a copy of my application.
I am assuming my file is just sitting there waiting for an officer decide one day to look at it

This is because you requested the Physical file. The electronic file gives a lot of information.

After filing mandamus, they set my interview/test then sent me RQ (we got one for my spouse before the test). Now I am working with my lawyer in preparing all docs they asked for and hopefully there will be light at the end of this long tunnel
