Hello, I'm new to this forum and currently sponsoring my wife for PR right now. We lived at my parents' house for 1.5 years with out paying rent, so there's no rental agreement.
Anyone have asked parents to write affidavit confirming past cohabitation? What would the format be? Please help. Thank you!

I might have some bills most of them are shredded though
That was a silly mistake. For immigration purposes, keep as long and wide a paper trail as possible, until citizenship is granted.
You may well need it.

In most cases these days you can log into your online account tied to whatever utility you need and download/print past bills. I personally can do it for electricity, gas, water, phone/internet, etc. Check if you can as well.

The letter from parents won't hurt, but you should also try to dig up bills with your names and address on them, if possible. I'm assuming since you didn't pay rent, you maybe didn't have utilities in your name either. If you did, great - check to see if e-statements are available for your accounts. If you didn't, not the end of the world. Check to see if you have bills for cell phones, bank statements, etc. As with the utilities, there's a chance you have e-statements. It's always worth it to check in with the companies to see if they can provide you certain records without much hassle.
