Hello everyone,
my name is Tommaso and, together with my wife and daugther, we are thinking to move in Canada.
I'm a hilghly skilled IT worker, being covered Product Manager, Project Manager, Senior Solution Architect position for a big portion of my working like. I then believe I am part of TEER0/1 NOC. I am Italian and I am 38 years old. My wife is also Italian and is 44 years old.
We both speak C1/2 English, my wife being also French proficient (B2/C1)
I have spent quite some time researching what would be the best way to immigrate in Canada to start a professional career there, but I admit that I still do no have a clear path ahead.
As far as I understood, there are three main ways:
1 - Apply for an Express Entry
2 - Use PNP
3 - Use Temporary Foreign Worker program
I qualify for option 1 only if I have already a job offer, otherwise my score would only be 60 (I do not have a post-secondary degree). Same for option 2, this would only work if I have a job offer (aside some remote province where that is not a requirement.
Now the point I do not understand is with timinig: I believe I can find relatively quicky a job offer, but I understood that both Express Entry and PNP processes take months to be finalized. How does it cope with the need of the empoloyer? I would assume that someone hiring does not want to wait months before the professional starts to work.
Is there a way to start work earlier by using the Temporary Foreign Worker program, while I apply for either Express Entry or PNP?
I believe my question, at the end, would be: what would be the best way to move forward in my situation?
I thank in advance all of you for your help.
Tommaso
