Is anyone having the same problem as me, or knows what to do??
Im canadian and im married to an american and living in the USA.
My husbands daughters are 26 and 16, they live 2000 miles away from us. The 26 year old is on her own, and the 16 year old lives with her mother. We have very little contact with either. The ex wife knows we are moving to Canada. We do not plan to bring them to canada, now or ever. The 16 year old is autistic and will never leave her mother. She also will not attend meetings or a medical for something she has nothing to do with. I dont know what to do, or who to call?? Can he sign over his rights to the ex wife?? Can he just ad his daughters names to the 5406, and say, they are not coming to canada. There has to be something?? I heard where people havent seen their kids in years and dont even know where they live. Plus, if we contact the ex wife she will think we are trying to take the daughter away, and will refuse anything. As well as the daughter being autistic and will refuse.??
