I think the other person is well experienced, I understand that he has been 'a pain in the neck' of the CIC for a long time, hence he is in their bad books. May be that is why he seems to be so negative about CIC.
I would not be surprised that there is some merit in what he is saying. Also I cannot help thinking that ' ihabkal' has a point, that CIC is...... "they are doing everything they can to discourage older applicants, or to force us to cancel our applications."
I cannot see any justification in the existing processing times. It makes it difficult to plan ahead.

Going through the Open Data reports in more detail I have come up with the following analysis:

Number of cases O/S as at Oct 2012 = 40 (Fed Entr. POS)
Cases Received since 4th QTR 2007 (When I applied) = 33
Avg # of cases processed annually = ranging between 4, 6 & 8

If my analysis is correct, they would have no more than 7 cases to go before reaching my own. At the current rate of processing they should go through those cases within 1 - 2 years.

1 - 2 Years from the date that I applied would amount to around 84 months which is what is posted as the last updated processing times for this class of application in POS.

All of this is on the premise that CIC does not cancel the backlog as they have done with the FSW program. Fingers crossed that they wont.

Any thoughts?
