Additional documents

Hi all, I asked this question in one of the threads but it didn't get answered and I'm curious so....

Passed med a couple weeks ago, background check has just started and they've requested a couple additional documents. Does anyone know if as the visa officer goes through the application they can request more documents down the road? Or would they go through the entire application first and request everything they need all at once? Just trying to gauge time frames...

There is a simple 'completeness check' soon after they receive your application, if there is anything missing, the whole thing gets returned. By the sounds of it you passed that. To answer your question, they can ask for more documents at any time - I would not assume that what they have asked for is all they will want (but of course it could be).

As regards likely overall timescale, what is your nationality (of the PA), when did you send the pack in and which visa office has it gone to??

Yes, I've passed that stage (have already received AOR, AOR2). I sent it in November 2017. PA is Australian, and it's being processed in Mississauga which seems to be moving quite quickly! Thanks for the info - I am definitely crossing my fingers that this is everything..but you're right, that's kind of what I figured - was just hoping maybe someone would say otherwise (wishful thinking)!
