Hi,

Is is ok to send additional , not requested, documentation with the citizenship application, e.g. Tax notice of assessment, rent contracts, medical summary,... Or better to send only requested documentation.

Your advice and experience are appreciated.

Sending additional documents may or may not help. It will put extra work for cic and may raise cic officers eyebrows.

Send what is being asked as per the checklist.

Remember, if you are trying to avoid additional document request or residence questionnaire, and if it is bound to happen, it will happen regardless you send a whole pile of paperwork.

The only extra docs I sent with my application were my last 5 years of tax assesments. In the interview he said they were not necessary but it was handy I gave them. So make of that what you will.

Many thanks for your helpful suggestions.

So, it is better to stick to the checklist requirements.

Yes, don't send them stuff they don't ask for but send everything on the checklist.
