Dear @legalfalcon ..... hope you are in good health!!

Application Details:

AOR: January 2020
Status: Approved (since April 2020, as per GCMS)
Medicals Expired: February 2021 (no update since)

I have been blessed with a baby last month. I raised the webform (3 weeks back) and informed IRCC about the same. However I have not yet received any reply or update in my profile, so I have again raised the webform.

In the meantime I have prepared the following documents of the baby:

a) Birth Certificate
b) Passport (scanned)
c) e-medicals (upfront)
d) IMM 0008 Form

My queries are:

1) To add a baby to the application do I need more documents, other than the ones stated above?

2) Should I wait for IRCC to open the placeholders in my profile to add the baby OR should I raise the webform and attach all the documents?

3) In both the cases (of query 2), do I need to physically sign and scan the IMM 0008 Form OR simply submit the same after validating?

4) As per my understanding, IMM 0008 Form has to be filled and signed (if you advise) by Main Applicant only and dependent does not have to fill this form. Please correct me if I am wrong.

5) In form IMM 0008, apart from adding my new born’s details, do I need to add my spouse’s details also?
I am asking this because I have provided my spouse’s complete details at the time of submitting the express entry application, wherein the spouse has been declared as accompanying.

In the end, I would again like you to know that how grateful we are to have You to seek advise from. Truly you are godsend for us. Thank you Sir!

@legalfalcon

One more quicky:

1) Me and my spouse's medicals expired in February 2021, since then there is no update/movement in the profile.

As per GCMS (november 2020), me and my spouse's M PROFILE is 1.

Sir do you suggest that we both should go for upfront medicals (as I have recently gone through pregnancy) and upload the same via webform?
Won't the upfront medicals help in saving the processing times?

Please advise sir.

That is entirely your choice. As per the current policy, IRCC is extending the medical for most applicants. If you wish to get upfront medicals done, you can too, but it will cost you some more money.

If you do not mind spending the funds for an upfront medical, you can.

Also, see #13,190

You should send a webform to IRCC and IRCC will let you know the list of forms and documents required.

IRCC can either create placeholders or asl you to send the documents via webform.

1. If the form has an option to validate, you do not have to sign it manually.

4. only the principal applicant,

5. When filing the form again, all details have to be filled even if you may have filled them before.

Dear @legalfalcon .... Sir in reference to adding newborn to submitted express entry profile, can you please clarify one more doubt.

Application Details:

a) Category :
FSW (express entry)

b) AOR : January 2020

c) Total Family Members at AOR :
TWO (principal applicant and dependent)

The following I found in CanadaVisa forum posted on May of 2019.

The applicant here successfully added the new born and posted the entire process for others.

I need your approval/guidance on 3 points mentioned in the post (as verbatim):

1)You only need to submit form IMM 0008 to add newborn baby.

2) Form IMM5669 and IMM5406 are only required if you are adding a new adult dependent to the application.
We DID NOT submit IMM5669/IMM5406 for the principal applicant and spouse since those details were already part of the original application.

3) Form IMM0008DEP is only required if you have more than 5 family members.

Sir your approval or refusal on above mentioned three points would be of great help.

If you want to add a new family member to your application you have to send a web form. IRCC will send a response back with the list of all the documents and forms.

The forms keep changing from time to time and you cannot rely on something that is posted here. Wait for IRCC to revert back with the complete list of documents and forms.
