Hi ,

I mailed all my forms to my sponsor ( we are not at the same place). Unfortunately he found some mistakes I made in IM0008 and additional family form . I corrected them, reprinted the last page of form , signed it and then rescan it and send it to my sponsor by email. we just submitted the application. I wonder whether that will be a big issue for us. All the other forms are still signed by pen.

We also need to send quebec forms , while we are in the different places again. Can I fill my form with the same type of scanned signature ?

If you have similar experience as us, could you share it or give me some guide? Thanks very much! :)

Yes, there will be a problem, since the document checklist asks for ORIGINAL, signed by you. You scanned it and sent it, making it a photocopy. Every signature you put on the forms have to be original and not scanned. I suggest you send him originals, and have him re-mail those.

Also, when you change the IMM0008 you have to validate it again, and it produces a different barcode.

At this point I would just wait for CIC to return the package, because if you start sending in random forms you will create a huge mess. It should not take more than a month or 2 for CIC to return the package due to signatures not being original. Alternative CIC may send a letter asking for replacement forms. So right now best thing you can do is wait to hear from them.

Thanks for your reply. Sounds a very unlucky start for application.

Don't worry about it. :) I had to re-submit forms too, because I used old ones. Just a small delay, happens to many. I would recommend using DHL to send documents, it is a little expensive but quick and reliable.

All of his sponsorship forms are in the good shape with original signature from both of us. I hope they will let us pass the section one instead of turning down from the very beginning just because of two scanned signature from my forms.
