The length of the background check is individual and varies from application to application. So unfortunately it's really not possible to say how long it will take for your application. In the background check they look at the applicants history to verify there is nothing that makes them inadmissible to Canada. How old the applicant is and where they have lived / how many places can influence how long the background check takes.
