2025 PR Application Timeline (Protected Person)

Temporary submission # 9 May 25
Requested an ATIP regarding the Temp submission # 10 June 25
Reply ATIP regarding Temp # 11 Aug 25 (nothing relevant)
AOR / Biometrics request 12 Aug 25

I have tried several ways to link my account with GCkey, unsucessfully. Now locked for 24h hours.
The person who filled my application put in the line city/town - City/State I believe the issue is this slash.

If I call IRCC can they correct this information over the phone?

I’ve finally been able to link my application. I had to call IRCC and they gave me the correct information and got it linked immediately. I’d advise you also call them. They’ll guide you while on the call. Good luck

And what information they told you over the phone that wasn't matching from the form 0008 you submitted?
I just spoke with them and we did step by step over the phone and still didn't work.
They asked me to send a screenshot with the answers used and the error in a webform.

1: Place of birth. Instead of town, I was using the state. E.g Ontario, while the correct answer is Toronto.

2: Total number of applicants in my application was 3. But the correct answer that worked was one.

Those were the two main errors that fixed mine.

Processing takes years so if you only applied in 2025 you are very early on in the process. There are very long periods of time wheee you see no movement because you are essentially waiting in line.

Application was submitted February 12,2025. I just got my AOR today July 30th 2025.

canuck78, please don’t tag me with any of your negative comments.

The incorrect information were:
1: Place of birth. Instead of town, I was using the state. E.g Ontario, while the correct answer is Toronto.

2: Total number of applicants in my application was 3. But the correct answer that worked was one.

Those were the two main errors that fixed mine.

After submitting screenshots to technical support they were able to fix something on their end and I could link my account yesterday.

AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) is when you receive an email with your temporary application number with attachment.

Temporary number with XG is in the submission confirmation letter.
Application number with G is in the AOR - acknowledge of receipt.

Good day, we applied for prra as a family and only my wife was approved.myself and kids were asked to reapply for prra, she submitted a PR application and included her spouse and the kids later they sent AOR with XG.thereafther they wrote me that my wife included me in her application for them to start the processing I should submitted some documents which I did but I application number started with G.and other number totally different from the XG.my question is do we now have different application or it's still the same application.

She is the primary applicant and you are dependents. Her approval secures your approval unless there is an inadmissibility issue.

Your comment/question is confusing. What do you mean only your wife was “approved “? Did IRCC specifically mention that your application was rejected? I’d advise you follow whatever instruction you get from IRCC, because from what you’ve stated everything is normal, your application is still in process.

Yes only wife was approved,myself and kids was asked to reapply for prra. but wife apply for PR for the family.

Which you should probably do to try to protect you from removal. Would suggest speaking to a lawyer.
