I don’t think it should be required for Canada. I assume you’re referring to a PCC from a country other than Canada. Has the issue been resolved? A PFL is generally a serious matter.

My Protected Person PR application was submitted on May 15, 2024. Today, the current status briefly changed from “Submitted” to “Profile Updated,” but there were no visible changes inside the application no eligibility not final decision ..When go back it changed back to “Submitted.”
Has this happened to anyone else? If so, did you receive any update or progress afterward? What happened next?

I believe this is a ghost update either all of your assessments have completed or something along those lines. You can expect final decision soon. Call IRCC to see what changed were made to your application.
Congratulations on receiving P1! After such a long wait, that must be a huge relief. Hopefully, P2 and eCOPR will follow soon.
