I applied with my lawyer and Today he sent a demand letter of pre mandamus. Mostly application will be resolved at stage 1 as per my lawyer. As our applications surpassed the timeline. And IRCC is scared of court orders as it cost them thousands of dollar to fight back. And if your application is cleaned they will not dare to fight back as they know they will loose in court.

I know 2 folks applied in November and august 2024 they received PR card as well. In our case we are stuck with 2023 applicants.
I have received another update today
Final decision - August 25, 2026:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
I know it's nonsensical that they keep us in the backlog with most of 2023 applicants while everyone who applied after August 2024 has their final decision. I personally know many who applied way after us with complex cases that have their cards at hand. If your mandamus works out I will proceed as well. I'll wait a bit more and see if their one month processing promise works or not.
