As someone who is currently an overseas dependent, I find this difficult to read. My first thought is about the spouse who is left overseas while plans are made to sponsor them later.

If you knew you were going to marry before your PR was finalized, I can't help but wonder why you didn't consider the immigration implications beforehand. Delaying a spouse's opportunity to become a permanent resident can have significant emotional and practical consequences.

Perhaps there are circumstances I don't know, but I hope you carefully consider the impact your decision may have on your wife. Immigration processes are about real people and real families, not just paperwork. Becareful of KARMA!!!
Recently, got married. I hear you.

Did anyone let IRCC know about their marital status change after applying for own PR application under Protected Person class? I want to know the process. I got eligibility and pre arrival. But don't know how let them know that I got married recently but don't want add my wife (Non accompanying) on the application, that might cause delay. I would like to sponsor later once my PR is finalized. Should I raise a web form and include marriage certificate?

ChatGPT and Gemini also telling me to resubmit IMM008 and IMM5406.

I'm totally confused now. If anyone been through this please help me. Thanks

You have no option but to update your application otherwise that would be considered misrepresentation and could also impact your ability to sponsor your spouse.

Anyone had this issue; showing a ghost update on the ircc portal, then when you call they tell you security is now in progress? I saw alot of people saying when they get a ghost update and they call; the agent tells them security is complete

Is there anyone who applied for PR by paper and received a P2 email, in which IRCC asked them to upload their photo? However, because this person applied by paper, they do not have any username or password to access the PR portal for uploading the image. The problem is that IRCC does not send any temporary username or password to access the portal.
When this person called IRCC, the agent said they should submit a web form. She submitted the web form and is now waiting for a response from IRCC. However, six days have passed and there has been no response. This person is currently under a lot of pressure and does not know what to do.
She has not received any reply, and only one day remains within the seven-day deadline given by IRCC to upload the photo. If anyone can help or has experienced a similar situation, please advise. Thank you very much.

Reply directly to the sender's email address explaining the situation. State that the application was submitted on paper, no portal credentials exist, and attach the required digital photo.

She don't have time , tomorrow is last day for day remains within the seven-day deadline given by IRCC to upload the photo
Just create the account using the same email address she received her PR Portal 1 on. It should be the same email that IRCC normally uses to contact her. She needs to create the PR Portal account herself.

You may visit a professional photo studio and obtain a digital photo that meets IRCC specifications. You can then submit the photo through the IRCC webform by using the document upload section and attaching both the photo and the request letter/email from IRCC. If the webform option is unavailable or unsuccessful, you may need to create or access your IRCC online account to upload the requested documents.

Hello I called ircc yesterday and the agent told me my P1 was sent on June 4 unfortunately I received nothing later the agent found out they send it to wrong email address and they said they'd send it again to the correct email address. For those who have experienced this how long did it take to finally receive the email?
