2024 PR Application timeline

Hello All,

Today I called IRCC to get update on my PR and after long discussion agent finally told me that the last update on my file from officer was in March 2026, she didn’t notify me what was the notes etc . I guess that’s something positive isn’t ? Please advise y’all..

Timeline:
Pr applied August 28 2024
AOR: Nov 2024
Biometrics done 31 Dec 2024
Till date no update even I didn’t get eligibility letter or anything else .

not sure some are getting ecopr, some are stuck on security check I am nov 2024 applicant i got eligibility letter and after that nothing .

Applied a day after you got my pr card.
Did you live in other countries other than home country

Yes, I lived over 9 years in UAE

Could be reason security would take maybe a little longer
I only lived in home country and here.

I know so many people who lived outside other than their home country have already received their cards ,,, I guess it’s diff for everyone…
To my knowledge security starts after eligibility isn’t ? And in my case I even didn’t get eligibility letter …

Like you said every case is different.

It was radio silence after my biometrics in Dec 2024
Untill march this year that I got prearrival and then things went so fast from there
Thanks to this forum I saw that lots of 2024 applicants were getting updates, I called IRCC to ask why I didnot get mine yet and the next day I received pre arrival,
Unsure if that was a coincidence.

finger crossed ,,, they didn’t ask me for anything yet nor send me any email request.
Today when I spoke to the agent she was kind enough to tell me that last officer update on my file was in March 2026 …

I called IRCC yesterday and the agent told me that my criminality in progress and the security not started yet is that normal?

It’s not normal everyone who applied in January to June as literally be abandoned
