Wow October 2024 is receiving their final decision and January 2024 here with no news. I am happy for you but IRCC is playing an unfair game!!!!

Yes, I did biometric I got pre arrival and eligibility later March 2025. I have not heard anything since then

Maybe contact your member of parliament.
Security for a year is abit long.

Yes I did my biometric back in 2024. And received pre-arrival in 2025 and nothing since then.

I learnt that if you applied for PR or sponsor someone , try as much as possible to stay out of any social assistance programs , if you’re fit and able to work.
Short story Two people went to an MP’s office because their applications had exceeded the processing time.
And they were being asked questions about employment and how much they paid for rent.
One was on social assistance and the other worked full time.
Two weeks after that visit, the work who worked received ecopr.
Would they ask these questions if it didnot matter.

I work full time. And I have never taken any social assistance from the government throughout

How do I do that ?

Look up for MP in your area
Send a nice email regarding your situation
A case owner will be assigned to your file and you will have to sign forms authorizing them to make inquiries to IRCC on your behalf
Others advise walking in is better and looks more serious

I only went out of the country for two weeks in the last 3 years

I think its not a matter of any personal reason this is how ircc works now a days.just see the pattern every other person from april 2023 to july 2024 stuck in security well some people from 2022 also stuck.It looks like they are working on files from august 2024 onward

why wud any person be on social assistance for two years...mean the person did not qualify for EI or never work since the person arrived in Canada...

if he is with in processing time, there is nothing they can do
