Most likely, they either sent this email when the file was ready for finalization and they will make the final decision after checking the military service document, or they are initiating the security process at this stage. If they are just initiating the security process now, one should ask what they were doing all this time.

Perhaps it's being done in the background; the system hasn't been updated. Because this is a process that should be done after eligibility anyway.

Yeah, when I called IRCC they told me they’re not started yet, but you are supposed to be happy because you’re not stuck in security check. Just only it’s not started.

My GCKey just showed updated and when i opened it, it shows Final decision 25th August in front of my PR Card application. Could this mean the PR Cared has been mailed?

Not really. It means your photo and address has been approved. You will get another one in the coming days. You will get an email too to check your account.

Just upload it as it is. Nothing to worry. I got my PR card within 14 days.

Anyone still waiting for P1 after Final Decision? Any updates.
My Final Decision is July 7, 2026. Still no p1 or nothing. Been exactly 7 weeks today waiting for P1. Made number of calls and web forms. No luck yet. Hopefully will be able to ge through this.

All I can advise you is: just wait. I got my final decision on 29th May. I called, sent web forms. I did not get my P1 until last week. I am not saying you will wait almost 3months, but just continue with your life and don't let it keep you worrying. I understand how frustrating it is, but praying and waiting is all we really can do. You will get it.

Yea good point! this could be the reason why we havnt got any response..next week probably alot of ecopr will be issued
