same thing here, it only says submitted. I think there won't be any status update from the portal, I read that we have to use below online tool to check the status but it only shows your application when they started processing the application.

The link that you have posted, if you are applied on paper-based applications (It mainly supports older or paper applications). Now a days most of the application is processed in a newer system called CGKey https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html

It also happened to me, also the message mentioning “20% complex applications are processed longer” are gone.

Just got my WP extension renewal decision (I know it is not related to this section, but still a good hope for 2023 PR applicants)

I applied on August 11, 2024, and just received an approval email. (They put an Eligibility review on it for whatever reason, which took so long to be approved.)

I called them many times and spoke with multiple MPs. Finally received approval yesterday, April 2, 2026. It was much more stressful than my in-process PR application, since I lost my job.


May this be a good sign for our PR applications as well

Yes you’re now within the right window to apply, so you get maintained status legally.

No, dont rush, they are very fast for WP. Do it in July
