same thing here, it only says submitted. I think there won't be any status update from the portal, I read that we have to use below online tool to check the status but it only shows your application when they started processing the application.

The link that you have posted, if you are applied on paper-based applications (It mainly supports older or paper applications). Now a days most of the application is processed in a newer system called CGKey https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html
