If you were already been accepted as a protected person, it becomes unnecessary to renew your refugee claimant document anymore because you are no longer a claimant, and the IRB’s notice of decision becomes your new immigration status document.
If you don’t have an ID and you need one, go to your provincial government service centre to get a photo ID, or otherwise get a driver’s license.

I think they might cancel all 2023 applications and ask us reapply again. They can do it by using bill c12. This is the only explanation why they skipped us and processed with 2024 applicants. Any thoughts?

So why did the processing stop for more than four months, and now we hear that they started issuing PR for 2024 applicants?

I saw few people from oct 2022 to march 2023 who got final decision in jan feb and march may be the next month is for april applicant

This is my guess. if we roughly calculate based on the current timelines, it is applicable to receive the decisions for mid 2024 applicants onwards. I think IRCC will process the application of mid 2024 applicants based on the current timelines. Those before mid 2024 applicants will fall into one time initiative program and might implement it gradually starting from April together with TR to PR program.
