2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Hi guys,

I’m new here so bear with me. I had a question, I applied in Nov of 2023 as a protected person. I’ve still been waiting for my PR. I just got an email from IRCC that they need my biometrics. I’m going to give my biometrics tomorrow. Is it possible that IRCC has picked my file up finally and I might get to the end of this road? To give you some context, this is what it says on my portal.
Review of eligibility
  • We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results
Review of additional documents
  • We do not need additional documents.
Interview
  • You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics
  • We need your fingerprints to process your application. Check your messages below for details.
Background check
  • Not applicable.
Final decision
  • Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
When it says not applicable does it mean that I’m done with that part of the process? And it doesn’t say anything on my medical, does that mean I don’t need it and I’m good?

Yes it means they are working on your application

You applied Nov 2023 and they just asked for the bio?!

Pre-Arrival: Sep 2024
Eligibility: Sep 13, 2024

Just to update people at this forum:
I called Immigration office today and was informed that my eligibilty is confirmed (as per agent its a good news) and my background check is going on. He advised me that I am still within timeline and I should wait for the background to complete.

So I guess I just have to wait for FD and P1.

I only received mine. I had to send IRCC a document to ammend information contained in the Ecopr because my child’s information was missing and should have been listed as a dependent. My child’s application number G00xxxxx was same as mine but my spouse’s application number was different. Hopefully they work on the corrections quickly.

Do the mention the dependent names on the Ecopr of the Protected Person? Also, are your dependents present in Canada or outside canada?
