It is for individuals who are already in Canada and have been recognized as:

Protected Persons by the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB)

Or determined by IRCC to need protection after a Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA)

This initiative makes the PR processing faster and more certain.

You don’t need to do anything. They’ll accelerate the applications that have already been in processing for over 2 years

I think IRCC is making the framework for the one time approval of 115000 cases. Let us hope for the best. I expect by mid of 2026 major approval will be done.

I’m in August 2023 as well. They could’ve announced the one-time initiative after the new year and ended this nightmare for thousands of people. They just do it on purpose to make people suffer
