Yes — that’s pretty common.
“Security Screening Type: Comprehensive (A34)” just means IRCC flagged the application for the standard, in-depth security screening under section A34 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (which deals with security inadmissibility).
It does not mean there’s a problem. Many applicants (especially in protected person streams or from certain countries) see this note — it’s just part of routine security checks done by CBSA/CSIS.
How long it takes varies, but in most cases it’s cleared in 6–12 months (often sooner), and you’ll see in GCMS:

Security Status: Passed
If you’re at the final stage and your security already says Passed, you don’t need to worry about this line — it was just the type of screening applied.
