Off topic - PLEASE HELP - I, The main applicant is going to start a nursing program in January 2026. Since the course lasts longer than six months, the college requires a study permit. I am going to apply for a study permit, and one of the questions asks: ARE YOU ACCOMPANYING A FAMILY MEMBER WHO HAS STATUS IN CANADA? Yes / No. Which one should I choose? My husband is a dependent here with me.

I believe it would be no as you are not a dependent, you are the main applicant. so not accompanying anyone really plus you’re applying inside canada.
Quick question y’all: I see I’m probably the only one still waiting for P1 after receiving FD on Nov 20th. Is it normal or did someone experience a long wait after FD. I know nothing is unusual with IRCC but I’d like to hear from you before I follow up next week
That’s normal. I received my P1 20 days after the FD. It’s probably because the portal section is like mine in Montreal. they usually have delays.
My friend who applied 15-18 april is waiting ecopr. My another friend who is April 20th he is waiting portal 1. I am happy for them but i am april 10th and nothing update. And i heard lots of april applicants have final decision or ecopr nowadays.. April applicants going so fast except me. Hopefully i can have good news soon.
Be encouraged mate, don’t despair. I’m in the exact same boat as you. Applied 13th April and still no word. No FD, no GCMS notes(applied for gcms notes in July 2025 till now no response). Just waiting and holding out hope. Do you have dependents or spouse on your application? I have my spouse and kids on mine so wondering if that might be the cause of the delay, though they are all inside . Anyways we can’t afford to give up hope, maybe we’ll get a Christmas present still and hear back from them. Congrats to all who are receiving theirs now, truly happy for them!

Application: Jun 2023
Pre-Arrival & Eligibility: Sep 2024
I am currently waiting on FD. Will it be a good idea to get access to GCKey and give upuse of representative at this stage? The reason I want to do this because I don't get any updates from the representative unless asked.
