I feel you. The only thing we need to do is to just forget about it until they process the files. You don't have to stress over it because it will ruin your days.
Okay, I don't know why my single application has been delayed for so long, and all the applications submitted after me have started to be processed, and mine is not processed, have I forgotten it? Is the file missing?

I believe you have received your AOR right? And you have temporary application number starting with X? Right?

So no your application has not been lost. But sometimes officers go absent and no other officer takes over for them. They simply wait for him/her to return. This has happened actually:

Where the officer was not processing for almost 2 years and they finally distributed files to other officers and suddenly applicants got responsed and updates.
I hope my file and yours and some other people I know are not being processed by such officer. I just hope so!

I really doubt that my application was processed by this immigration officer! I don't know where the people went! And now the pandemic is over!

Mississauga office is processing PR applications for refugees are far as I know and a few other offices. As far as Mississauga office is concerned it is just an empty building as all staff still work from home. When people work from home there is little supervision over them by managers/supervisors so basically they do not work as efficient.
My neighbor works with CRA, and I swear she goes to work at 10 am until 1 pm only two days a week and I can see her taking a walk all the time and she just bought her new Lexus without working at an office! This is the reality of working from home! So delays by IRCC is totally understanble!

I definitely believe you, I know that working from home spends a lot of time playing and doing other things that are not related to work, but other categories of immigration applications are very fast, because they have time requirements, our processing time is 23 months, so officials It doesn't matter, there is time to deal with it!

Almost all immigration files have long processing times. I deal with many cases everyday and the only fast cases are student visas that get processed outside Canada at embassies.

No I work at an immigration lawyer's office. My application is stuck after medical. Go a few posts back and you will see my timeline.

I applied by myself, do I need to be represented by a lawyer? Will it be faster to have a lawyer?

Any updates everyone? Please share your updates here. It seems IRCC has become very slow recently. Most people I know and myself included are not getting any updates. Let us know if you guys have updates.
