Dear Friends,

I urgently need your advice and support.

My less complex short hearing is scheduled for next week. I have now received the disclosure of documents before the hearing, and they have sent me a copy of my entire 2021 visitor visa application along with all supporting documents that were submitted at that time.

That application was prepared and submitted by a consultant. After reviewing it carefully, I realized there were several mistakes and missing details. He did not include my and my wife’s educational background, he omitted our siblings’ information, and he marked “No” to the question asking whether I had ever been refused a visa for Canada or any other country. In reality, my U.S. visa had been refused.

In the disclosure package, they also included information about my fingerprint match with the U.S. State Department. Additionally, in my Basis of Claim form, I mistakenly marked “No” to the same question. This was completely unintentional, and I only realized it now after reviewing everything again.

I am very worried about how this may affect my hearing. I do not have a lawyer and I am representing myself, so I am feeling extremely anxious and unsure about what steps I should take before the hearing.

Please guide me on what I should do. Your help would mean a lot to me at this critical time.

For that which the consultant submitted
Just tell the judge the truth, you provided all your info and don’t understand why consultant didn’t put it there.
And for the no
Was an honest mistake maybe due to stress

My advice to you, from experience and from the training I received from my lawyer, whether about this matter or any other matter, is: Don't offer information voluntarily unless you're asked for it. In case you are asked about it, tell the truth

It can be overwhelming,
I had a friend who had similar issues
Application for visa to a different country before coming to Canada had info different from her current and some info missing as well.
She clarified during her hearing when she was asked
She said she submitted her info to a consultant and they chose to put what they put which she wasnot aware of until now.
Some consultants omit or change some personal info for reason best known to them.
Some consultants will do anything to make their customers get visas just so they can be paid in full
And that’s something most people don’t even have an idea until it’s brought up like this.
IRCC has issues when you consent to misrepresentation which is a crime
If you didnot, then youre good
Just clarify when asked and you will be good.
Relax , good luck.

It was an honest mistake on your basis of claim.
Stress make people rush over things and even forget.
Just be honest with the judge when asked
That’s all
They’re humans and know mistakes happen
Be consistent with your storyline
That’s what matters
