Medical req - Oct 3th
Medical approved - Oct 13th
Bg changed fromNot ApplicabletoBeing reviewed” - Jan 4th

Congrats !!!

It’s it’s not a problem could you pls ad use if you had a lot of travel history or had lived in multiple countries in the last 10 years ? I am trying to understand if the Background check takes longer if u have lived in multiple countries ? Ur Background check seemed taken very less time.

Thanks in advance

No, mine was very simple. Only lived in Canada and back home. I guess that’s some apps like mine process faster

I have lived in three countries in the past six years, and my application is still in process (Feb 23), but I received my gcms notes today and it showed my background check was done in Sept and didn’t take long at all. However IRCC have not told me a thing in my Ecas or mycic account, I only discovered this information on my background check, via ordering my notes.

I would recommend ordering your notes if you want to get a better idea of how your application is progressing.

I ordered mine today ....they told me same thing that my background check is in process. But I have never lived anywhere else except my home country and Canada. My whole adult life was in Canada and in same city. I dont know why they keep saying it is in process.

Hopefully I will get something out of gcms notes or receive my landing interview before that

Thank you for the insight Jon74. Appreciate your feedback. It feels good to hear that. I have stayed in China and Sri Lanka so not sure if my Backgroung check will be as fast as yours.

However, If your Background check was done in Sept already you should be receiving your PR soon as it’s going to be a year in 3 weeks on your application !

Good luck and hope you get your good news soon.

Hi folks, May 14 applicant here (check signature):

Received SA on February 1st - is that the last step before landing? I have DM on both sides as well, but no update apart from that in ECAS.

Good luck everyone!
