I finally managed to call CIC today, had to even extend my break at work and tell the boss it was an important call.

The lady on the phone was very polite. She said everything was fine with my application then when I asked her about my medicals, she said there are no information regarding a new medical required or an extension. She also said security has not started yet...

When I asked about later applicants getting PPR, she said the usual generic stuff, your application is under processing time and all I can do is wait and they will contact me when the next step happens.

Honestly it felt like my application is just left in the pile and there’s no one looking at it. It’s kinda scary when I think about those people who have gone 20-27 months waiting to get PR.

i always thought that applying early would mean getting PR early, but thats not the case. i hope they know what it feels like on the other side of the fence.
Congratulations to everybody who got their PPR.

I am trying to call cic from last two months ... what number and how did u manage to talk to them .?

Mine also says 10 weeks left even though the lady on the phone today said security check is not started yet (and my medicals are expiring in 2 weeks). My only consolation is that I've heard people saying they called asking about security and the person on the phone said it wasn't started, but then they got PPR in 2-3 weeks after. lol what

There will be a bunch of automated messages and you keep pushing the numbers, and some recording that you're not able to skip. Once you reach what you need and a bunch of more recording plays, it will say if you want to hear again, go back, or talk to an agent (0). Then you wait around 22-30 minutes (that's how long they say every time I tried calling them).
