Hi guys,

I am feb 2018 applicant.

I have question. Some people receive PPR and some directly get landing interview. What is the difference in scenario?

Thanks
PPR if you need an entry visa to Canada. Direct landing interview, if you’re from a visa exempt country. At least per my understanding.

My friend is from India, she directly got landing interview, she didn’t send the passport.
So this is the thing, it’s better to get interview than PPR because you don’t need to go to the border.
But people from visa exempt country also get PPR but instead sending the passport they send a copy. So you may get a PPR or interview.

Hi guys, I did an upfront medical on April 18th 2019, I got an MR on May 1st 2019, but I still have not passed. The medical request states that if you do not do it within 30 days, it may be a reason for refusal. If I do not pass in 30 days, my application will be rejected? What do you guys think?

Consult with a lawyer, that would be best

I do not know who told you about this... I just follow cic website, upfront should be done before submitting application, otherwise, I would just wait for the MR: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/medical-exams/requirements-permanent-residents.html#when

I guess IRCC has started catering January applications as well. A friend of mine who lives in Saskatoon got a passport request the day before yesterday.
