Now I am feeling much better and thanks for the reply, and let's keep updated:)

Hey guys, I just finished a call with cic. I was going to ask why it shows "We need additional documents to process your application" on my cic account, and she told me just to ignore it.
Then I asked about my background check status, and she told me it is completed already!
This is such good news and i want to share with you guys! She said I could expect PPR soon! Will update once I got anything!

same boat, nice!
I called cic last week and the agent told me that the background check is completed although i doubt it since nothing is happening after.
And I ordered GCMS notes last month and expect to get it soon (this week or next week).
Let's keep each other posted:)

May 20, 2016 applicant.

My medical done: June 12, 2017.

Spouse added in September 2017. Provided upfront medical, PCC and marriage certificate.

Currently status says background not started. Don't know how long it will take.

Could you please tell me how you got the upfront medical as in my case ...all clinics are saying they cant do it...they need a letter for ircc

Called CIC this morning, they told me that they sent me the RPRF request email on Oct 22,2017 but I never received it! Not in spam/trash or anywhere. So I ended up paying the fee online and then sent out the receipt.
But I called them two weeks ago and the lady answering the phone never mentioned this!
Anyhow, guess it is important to call cic now and then to make sure you have received their notice!

Thanks for letting us know :)
Some updates today..
I just checked my online cic account, and it has a new message with the RPRF request letter in!
I paid it yesterday already, so I just upload the receipt as the instructions in the letter to MyCIC account.
Hope it is a good sign:)

Some update from me..
Just received the GCMS notes ordered on Nov 9. (Printed on Nov.14)

Eligibility, Criminality, Medical all show as passed.
Security is blank, and the entire security section is erased. After doing some research, clearly there is some kind of policy that the security check details will be kept hidden. So as soon as it changed that's when it got blanked out. So I guess (hope actually) the blank would mean it's either complete or in progress.

But I did check the action in the later section, there are two actions around the security check, one is changing from "not started" to " ", the following one is changing from " " to " ". Hopefully that's "not started" to "in process" and then "in process" to "complete".

According to my call with cic agent last month, she did say my background check has been completed. Hopefully will get PPR soon and good luck to everyone!
