I was not expecting to receive AOR at the moment. February 27th to be precise. I actually sent my application January 6th 2015.
But was super excited that the journey has actually began officially. Hopefully SA wIll be a quick surprise too.

Just to add Dec 15-16 applicants receiving AOR last week whilst as high as Dec 22 applicants receiving AOR during the last week. They are really speeding through it now. December 11 applicants receiving SA and one Dec 16 receiving SA.

At this rate Jan applicants will start to be processed over the next few weeks. Very surprised.

AOR = Acknowledgement Of Receipt.
An email or letter to notify you that they received your application

Does anyone know if there is an April 2015 outland thread??? We're still putting together our supporting documents (thank you to all the helpful posts on this forum)...and should be able to submit our application by the end of April.

I'm Canadian and my husband is Syrian who lives in Dubai (I'm here with him on tourist visa while our application is being processed although I'll have to find a job soon!!)

It would sure be nice if we could get his visa application sent to Abu Dhabi instead of Amman (quite a difference in processing times)

If there's any other sponsors out there with Syrian spouses....please let me know!!
