On the form, it still shows 11-2014...so nothing on the form has changed...chill
Hello! everyone on this thread is in the same boat. Unfortunately, we still have a while longer to wait. According to CIC site it's about 84 days wait, so if you add that to JAN 20 you would have an approximate time of when you should be hearing something from CIC.Raqskie said:
The version of this form before the recent change also did not have the question for the selected visa office, so the very recent form and the ones Jan applicants sent are the same. You will only get a file number and email when they open it and start processing it, they are currently processing December 8 ish applicants and are moving more quickly. My best guess is that April and maybe late March for early Jan applicants will be the time when we start to get file numbers. Really it is just a case of forgetting about it for a while, forums are great but they can also give innacurate information and promote worrying for no reason. As long as the application was filled out correctly everything will be fine. I strongly suggest having a look at the december 2014 outland spreadsheet, you can follow how quickly they are moving, I dont think the CIC website gives the most accurate information but rather an average based on whatever system they use.Raqskie said:

We applied for sponsorship and all forms including Medicals and fees were done upfront and received on the 18th sep. I was them approved to be his sponsor on the 5th November and our file was transferred to Ottawa. I have been checking the status and it just shows as app recieved. Am I being a bit ambitious and impatient willing it to change!!
I am also paranoid that forms/medicals/fees expire, how long do we have and what are your experiences of similar types of applications??
