I'm just not sure about that but i think they had a month to prepare for his landing.. they have been together for 3 years while me and my partner have been together for 8 years already, i made sure i have included all the proofs on my application.. so hopefully ours will be included on the list of application of no further reviews needed the only complication that i see is his dual citizenship.. but hopefully that's not a big deal since we have included all the docs needed.
Yah me too! But I am sort of expecting that they might make me fill up a new IMM0008 form since I noticed that my submitted form was not the latest form.. I just hope it would not be much of an issue for delay.... I also read from the cic website that the validity of the PR visa is usually a year after the medical ( just in time before it expires)... It also said that there would be no extension for the PR visa once it sets the deadline for landing. (just a good to know fact...)

ccastillo, we have almost the same timeline. :) i pretty hope we'll be having similar timelines of approval too! ;)

I go over this same question in my mind everyday. I keep hoping some miracle happens and I get it by Octoberish. Apparently Bogota (which is my visa office( sometimes processes in 5 or 6 months; but i don't know if that's just for people who get super lucky like our friend who got SA already and filed late Jan.

I don't wanna get my hopes up though, so I hope December or early next year as well.
We are definitely on the same boat.... Not expecting much (on fast processing), but hoping for it though! You know, it's better to be surprised with a smile because it took earlier than when you expected it to, than be frustrated because of too high hopes... (just me, though). :)

God bless our applications!

A very unscientific deduction I will make is that the CIC will soon be back down to 60 days processing time by the end of Feb or early March on the basis that there were less applications submitted to them during the month of December. My deduction is solely based on the number of people who filled in their stats in the November Outland spreadsheet (63) vs the number of people who filled the December Outland spreadsheet (~34). Haha. I told you unscientific. I expect an AOR and SA answer for my Jan 19th application before the end of March at the latest. You heard it here first ;). Fingers crossed lol!!
that what I hope to get the AOR before the end of March, I submitted my application Jan 15th, so we are in the same boat.
let's hope and pray for that

A December 2 applicant received AOR today, the process is moving very fast now so we can all be very happy with that news.

Why dont you call CIC, you dont need to give your name or details but ask if someone submitted the old IMM0008 form what would be the procedure. If they say the applicant would need to send a new form then you could send it now, with a note on it to attach to your application or if they say it wont be a problem then you can wont have to do anything. It might save delays later on but this is just how I would approach it.

Good point. But based on my research on other's experiences, they were just asked to submit the new form, and did not repeat the whole application process. Is it OK to call CIC? have you tried to?

For those of you who used a courier, which company did you use? I'm going to send mine at the end of this week (just waiting on a statutory declaration from a friend).
what does it mean >> "just waiting on a statutory declaration from a friend" ???

My husband is free from visiting us (British Passport). Would he need some sort of statutory declaration too?

The statutory declarations are required for common-law applicants only. Basically it was just a letter from a friend of ours stating that he has observed our relationship and it is continuing and genuine. Common-law applicants need a minimum of two of these from family and/or friends.

So to avoid delays you could prepare the new document now and as soon as you get a file number post it to them with a note to attach it to that file. By getting ahead of the game they wont have to contact you etc. and it may make your process quicker. good luck
