Police cerficate from Indian consulate in SanFranscisco


Like I mentioned before, we are asked to to submit the federal immigration application to CIO-Sydney (after having received the PNP nomination).
I am an Indian citizen working in US for past few years. I have following questions w.r.t. police certificates and clearances (PCC) from India.
1. How long does it take to get PCC from Indian Consulate in SFO?
2. Do we have to submit the original passport to them? I am a little wary about it
3. Do we wait to get the PCC from Indian consulate before submitting the federal application to CIO-Sydney?

Please help me.

Is there a number in the nomination letter? I have mine, the same as nsnp file number.

And I want to share the news with forum members that by the grace of GOD last night i received my NOMINATION.

Application received - 13th march 2014
Pre screen email- 05th June 2014
Additional document request- 29th July 2014
NOMINATION- 07th August 2014.

I heard from some important resources that NSNP going to increase CAP from 150 to 300 for this year 2014.

Friend living Halifax visit NSNP physically ...he has been notified about this news.

Reason behind it that they received very short no of applications in other stream and now Year 2014 going to end, remaining seats will be wipe off ,therefore they initially transfer 150 more seats in this stream.

Becuase CIC gives applications slot to Province based on yearly.

If is so, then we should receive some notifications from NSOI, at least on NSOI web-site.

Those who received nomination have they applied to CIC or not?
@ Sunny the shine.. Have you got your hard copy of nomination or have you applied to CIC with nomination Letterreceived in email?
Can i apply to CIC with nomination letter received in email or should i apply with hard copy.
Friends plz reply to my above concerns.

hi friends,

After going through the posts in last 3 days, the below is the summary of the actual facts till now.

NS is still on 17th march, and only 50% nomination done. Also another 150 to be added. So please don't loose hope. They will check all the applications received even after 28-Apr-14.

Just have patience.
