I would suggest you to contact them via eMail. Mention your case number in subject line.

chemical eng

Suzan - going by the data we have on this forum, the last prescreen email was March 14th. The data on this forum has been a good predictor of who's getting prescreen and when to expect one. I summize that the evidence suggests March 14th - 17th files are being worked on right now (15, 16 are weekend days). This means your file will be open soon. It has in the past, taken 5 weeks to move from one date to the next...so worst case will be around 5 weeks as an estimate. I gather all these from the data on this site (page 361 under ssbsmile's signature - that's why it's great that people are sharing info and providing updates. Bottom line, no cause for alarm yet in my opinion

Hi Everyone,

I am new here. I filed my application and reached to NS on the 1st of April.
I know chances are low for me to be nominated but I am positive that I will be nominated.

Congratulations to all those who received pre screen mails and nominations
Can u share to us your pre screen email and nominations so that we know what it is like?

Thank you so much.
e

Well I am in the same boat as you and I am just the opposite.
I am not too optimistic at all that they will open the April applications since they have gone almost 90-100 nominations and they are just at Mar.18th and sent huge numbers of pre- screen emails to potential nominees??

I am just being realistic...doesn't look good for us. I had better look elsewhere. Don't put all your hopes here

Good suggestion to look for other options. However, my analysis is that receiving a pre-screening email doesn't assure you of a nomination though it is a one step forward. It seems that NSOI is still looking for the BEST applicants that will suit their needs and they are just giving pre-screening emails in order of receipt to live up by their statement that applications are being dealt with on a first come first serve basis.

You are correct. Buddy.

I posted below message last week only to clarify with other guys.

Because they have already issues so many case number as well as requested applicants to update forms, information , asked about education credentials, reference letter etc...

Due to these reasons, they are waiting for response from applicants. If they will find everything is ok after applicants response then NS will nominate them.

Otherwise, they will go ahead for next slot and assign case number.

My dear co-applicants, let us all hope and pray that NSOI would have a change of heart once they finally realize that there a lot of interested and qualified applicants that really want to settle and contribute in their province and that they will make a move to enable them increase their cap to more than 150. It is the only guaranteed thing that would make everyone here happy. #bestcasescenario #nothingisimpossibleinprayers

Vaibhav - you're correct. Pre-screen email means your application is complete and you qualify to be considered for the program. They'll then select the people they think will fit best into the program (best from the pool). But pre-screen email is a good first step.

Action required - please go to page 361 of this forum , under ssbsmile's signature, please upload your infromation in the google sheet (via link). This has helped in answering several questions on this forum. When was your application received ?

I did.but this is their reply.

There are no updates at this time.

Thank you for your patience. We understand it can be frustrating as you wait to learn about the status of your application.

The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration has received a large number of applications to the Regional Labour Market Demand stream. Currently we are logging and assessing these applications . We are accepting 150 nominees through this stream. It may be helpful for you to know that applications are being assessed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once these 150 individuals have been identified, all remaining applications will be returned to applicants. Successful applicants – as well as those who are unsuccessful – will be notified.

This is a complicated process that takes time. It would be a difficult and time-consuming task to check the status of each individual application. As such we cannot provide individual status updates, timeframes for completion, or information pertaining to assessment up to specific dates.

Q: When will 150 applicants be nominated under the RLMD stream?
A: Recognizing that people are anxious to know the status of their application, we are working hard to process applications as quickly as possible. As you can appreciate, there is a lot of complicated work involved and it does take time.

The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration does not have a set date whereby the applicants will be nominated. We will have this work done as quickly as we can.

Q: How far along are you with regard to nominating 150 applicants under the RLMD stream?
A: We are over 30% complete.

Q: Why is it taking so long?
A: The assessing of applications is complicated work. The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration needs to do our due diligence with every application we look at.
