Yes i mentioned i applied for FSW 2013
with my UCI number.

And what was your Province of destination?

It seems, that they suspect on your intention to permanently be inhabited in NS...
Anyway let's hope for the best!

My application was received on 21st Mar.. but still no reply yet. Can anyone tell me how we will get the reply its either email or through courier?? Can anyone share his/her views??

Generally pre-screening e-mail will notify that your application in the assessment stage.
There were cases when applicants received their applications back by post(refusal) without any email notofocation.

It is a 50/50 issue. If you give a detailed reason of your FSW and also write convincingly why you feel NS strives above Alberta - you don't have an issue.

They are also aware some people must have tried other places before, but you need to prove a point here that NS is the best.

i did that in my settlement plan explaining why i want to settle in NS.

I have made some mathematics to predict until any day they might reach:

**Given: A- No. of applications received by NS office=3000
B- No. of people applied from the forum= 240 (not exactly)
C- Percentage of applications from forum= (240/3000)*100=8%
D- Ratio of (pre-scr) until the end of (10-3)= 7/16

1-assuming everyone received (pre-scr) will be nominated:
until the end of (12-3) from forum=35
until the end of (12-3) in general = (35*100)/8=438
No. of (pre-scr) until (12-3) = 438*(7/16)= 192>150
No. of nominations until (12-3)=192>150
So they will not exceed (12-3)

2- assuming 50% of the people who received (pre-scr) will be nominated based on until (6-3) 2 from 4 who received (pre-scr) got nominated.

until the end of (18-3) from forum=62
until the end of (18-3) in general = (62*100)/8=775
No. of (pre-scr) until (18-3) = 775*(7/16)= 339
No. of nominations until (18-3)=339/2= 169>150
So they will not exceed (18-3)

So in my opinion applications received after (12-3) have low chances, and after (18-3) don't have any chance. Sorry bro but that's my opinion.

good mathimatical theory , but i think it can't be applied on ground

@arandas,

Quite good calculations!

But it is indeed relatively, and it depends on many factors.

If we could have at least an approximate quantity of nominated people, in that case our prediction would be stronger.

Hi,
I wann to tell you one thing is that NS Immigration department has declared new NOC no 16th march.including some more category that are not in previous list.
What happen to those who applied after 16 th march? As i have applied as my NOC 3131 (PHARMACIST) opened on 16 th march .

While I like your mathematics, I think it is logical, I hope it is not that accurate as my application reached on 13-3 so I just fall outside the likely to be nominated. So for the sake of bias, I hope this is not the case :P. It does make sense though and I do have my fears.

One thing, there are a few applicants that sent more than one application
- The first was incomplete but intended to hold a spot inline
- The follow up was the more complete. I reckon at least one in 10 did the double application thing. NSOI will use the first application even if it’s incomplete.

It may be a good calculation if settlement plan doesn't make sense. Thus, I think that this calculation may be true for pre-screening emails, however the final decision will depend only on the strength of the settlement plan

Good, for me it is okay. I do not for see any rejection based on this. A friend who was part of the pre- Feb 2008 cancelled application and who picked Toronto therein disclosed this and he has pre screening mail already.
