It does matter a lot, if occupation is regulated you need to justify how will you get the license and search for job. I didnt mention in settlement plan that my occupation is regulated and relevant questions

But, What is regulated and non-regulated occupation?

@ Sjulien

My Dear,

In a layman's term, if you are practicing a profession which needs licensing from certain institutes, such profession is said to be regulated. Conversely, if you are practicing a profession for which you don't need specific licensing, such profession is said to be non-regulated.

Hope the above suffices your query. :)

Thanks for info.

Do you have any link or information about Canada for practicing a profession or specific licensing required in each categories or designation?

Visit the following website, it should make everything clear.

http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/

Actually I know this link. workingincanada.ca is redirect with this web site http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/

There is no generic website to know about regulation. This is depends on company whether they want regulated license or not.

Regulatory requirements varies from Institution to Institution. Suppose your intended occupation is regulated as per JOB BANK website, you will see multiple regulatory organizations. Choose which organization suites your occupation the most. Then check that organization's particular website to know the exact regulatory details and their licensing requirements thereon.

Some people in this forum are too much worried if their profession are regulated. We cant do much about it unfortunately, so stay relax and see, it is better to submit the application and try rather than not....better not to expect anything so less disappoitment by the end of the day...remember that it is only 150 to be selected against thousandssssssss.........
