thanks, yes i submitted my details.
i don't know why they need thousands of applications for 4-5 nominations ??

thats a big question which even they did not anticipated. Most asians and people from developing nations aspire to immigrate to US/Canada irrespective of job opportunities.
lets hope for the best.

this is not only about job opportunities but so many people will also waste their money which they paid to Agents and for filing documents.

Hope for the best

Hi, If NS receive only required application, they will be forced to choose unqualified candidate. So they want more application to choose better.

Is there any news about FSW'2014. They usually open May 1st week. Will they give information by Apr15th to 20th. Any news friends.

I m little worried now. I didn't knew 2173 is regulated. My settlement plan is with the assumption that my occupation is unregulated...

Yes i realized after submission. I relied on below information, which is kind of misleading

http://careers.novascotia.ca/sites/all/files/CareerGuide-High_Opportunities_2012_EN-A.pdf

It says software engineer occupation is not regulated in Nova scotia.

Yes please change the settlement plan.
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/quicksearch.aspx?val65=2173

"Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve engineering drawings and reports and to practise as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)"

I am sorry if I said earlier it was not regulated, as myself was ignorant about this. :-(

i will change it to 2174 ,it is non regulated

Bro dont Panic....

According to nova Scotia Guide.

his occupation is not regulated by a provincial body in Nova Scotia. However, this occupation may
be regulated by a federal regulatory body. for 2173

What u guys are checking is for Canada federal regulation ..so cheers...i have sent my appl today..

Can2174, dont worry because as far as NS is concerned it is NOT regulated. You are applying to settle in NS so the rule in the province will prevail.

What is regulated and non-regulated occupation? Why it is so importance?
