Hi Can2174, Thanks for your quick reply. Need a more clarity on the additional certificate you specified from the Employer.

I am not sure if companies give a certificate to confirm the communication language.

Yes you need to request Human resource department to issue such letter on company letter head. You can say the reason that you are applying for higher studies.

From where did you find that 2173 is regulated ?? Engineering is regulated ie. electrical /civil engineering. Why do you require a license to engineer software ??

www5 hrsdc gc ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=2173

Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve engineering drawings and reports and to practise as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).

Bro atleast reply wt i asked as well:)

I am clueless about whether you will get though if you apply now. I would suggest do apply ASAP if you are ready with docs and forms filled in already.

Regarding regulated occupation software engineer, I am not sure if we really need to get any license to write software. Although having a license would be an advantage.

Then i think it will be better to go for 2174....but applicants will be more ..:(..!!ya i m ready with the forms n everything..applying tomorrow ..I think u r tracking it ..may i know how many got +ve response till nlow

I haven't heard of anyone who received any communication from NS after submitting application.

Also I followed this pdf which says software engineering is not regulated occupation in Nova Scotia.

this waiting period seems hopeless :(
