We are preparing for our documents for submission, waiting for some documents to arrive then we are ready to submit. We are looking at April 24 for submission...isn't it too late?

Technically speaking, as NSIO is receiving applications and no official communication of selecting the 150 applications, there is chance but try it earliest. At worst only courier expenses will be lost.

Thanks for ur quick reply...another question. my wife's passport will expire on Feb 2015 thus we already filed for the renewal of her passport. The new passport will be released on May 9 and the old passport will be cancelled upon release of the new one. Can I submit our application using the old passport? I will just include an explanatory letter and attached the claim stub to prove my justification.

NSIO recommends passport have an expiry date no less than two years from the date of your Nova Scotia application - but it is not mandatory. Pls apply with the explanatory letter.

Wow what an amazing thread. Really informative and full of knowledge on how to apply and go forward. I have sent my application on the 28th of March through my agent (at least that is what he tells me). How can I get to know if they have received my application? I asked my agent to share the courier details, which he will. Will be great if someone can help.

Welcome, good to know that you applied already. you should pursue your agent to give you courier details . The program is very straight forward you shouldn't have applied through an agent. Without courier details there is no way to find out if the application has been received. All the best.
