Yup, you are correct. I have a bad experience with New Zealand in 2012, where wasted 500$ and nothing they returned.

For NZ, don't apply unless you are sure that you have at least 140 points. I have only 130 :(

Yes I completely agree with you , Some people .. But who ? the people always in Canada or USA Or they have relatives in Nova Scotia ? , No the people that never visit CANADA , I ASSUME that this may be it will better way for NS immigration office to know the Real intentions to Nova Scotia , Also they mention in the Frequently asked questions : and show a sincere intention to live in Nova Scotia.

I think it may be a good chance as applicant may start searching for job during the exploratory visit :)
BTW, what do you think about my case? My childhood friend has been living in Halifax since 2007 and my sister-in-law has been living in Toronto since 2007 and her husband since 1996. NB: I have never visited Canada.

We are approximately in the same boat, I sent my file on Wednesday and it is now on trip from Ontario to NS as per DHL tracking website. I am sure that NSIO is closed Saturday and Sunday, so I believe that my file will be stayed in DHL NS until next Monday 31/3.
NB: If you open the tracking sheet, you will notice that no application received in Saturdays or Sundays 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23 March and so on there is no application will delivered in 29 and 30 March.

Guys, It is similar to a lottery. No body knows who is going to be selected. :)

Some of us thinks that whose application reached first, would have highest priority but to me it looks like LUCK game.

God please take care of us.

It will be very good if you mention in your Settlement Plan That you have a Chilldhood Friend In Halifax , it will be good point , Write His or her Address and contact with him or her .. Just Suggestion to you my friend , I have a brother in Ontario since 2011 and I write in my settlement plan that I contact with him regarding the pre - Landing services .. For your Case : I don't know we are same in the same boat , I sent my application in 26-3-2014 ..

I mentioned about some facts in our friendship, especially we were living in the same neighborhood. I wrote his address in Halifax, phone number, occupation. I also mentioned that I am going to stay with him once arrival. Actually we are in so similar boat. My spouse's sister lives in Ontario since 2007 :) and I sent my application on 25/3. It is now travelling from Ontario to NS.
Nice to meet you friend

If you have mentioned that your brother is there, then i guess would be difficult for them to select you app.

See, why i am saying this, If your brother is in Canada (Onterio) they would understand that you are just need PR and even would not live in NS because of relations in other location.

This is my personal thinking, i might be wrong but just wana share with you..

Nothing like that. Yes I agree that Nova Scotia is not a better choice for first landed people or fresh immigrants.

People love to happy in Ontario, Alberta, BC. Specially Toronto as it is very close to USA boarder and people generally do shopping from USA.

Of course, Nova Scotia is an Atlantic Canada. Major problem is that there is no connection with USA by road transportation. If you are in marine field then it is best place to live there.
