This program is insane. They should have released a point system to prevent wasting people's time and effort.

Completely agree

The Community Identified Stream has been replaced with the new Regional Labour Market Demand stream.

Having to said, there is no point system, just only things they added that 'without jobs offer' stuff... otherwise nothing is new. Hence, people will get nomination/PR altogether in 2015/2016.

Federal will takes 18/24 months for PR approval. This is nomination program...

For NSNP applicant below response I got from a top NSNP staff last week 26th march she is d woman who sent me a rejection letter on CIS last year thought to share;

If you have determined that you are eligible to apply then you may submit an application to this office. We cannot provide advance indication of whether you may be nominated. The reason is that we have already received over 600 applications and we are able to nominate 150. Many of the applications may not be eligible, or satisfy criteria, or intent to reside in Nova Scotia. We have not begun to assess any.
It is recommended that you check our website each day for any changes that may occur including information about when the stream may close. At this time, we do not know when the stream may close. We also posted a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) to our site last Friday. Regards,

NSNP-RLMDS - This information is spreading to many people further and most of them started preparing documents this week, will apply in next few days. Like this around world how many are going to apply this week. Who knows.

Those who slipped to 5 or 5.5 in IELTS overall or either in L/R/W/S. Are in dark what to do next, as min. 6 or 7 band are accepted world wide. Now this is the only opportunity for those friends. Now everyone jumped in this competition. Further people in their network who put immi dream in hold are awaked and applying. This RLMDS is boost for them, as they don't have other opportunity.

The total numbers may go to 1500 to 2000 also if they didn't close it.

Nothing like that so many people have applied under this category who got 5,6, 7 or 8 IELTS band. Having to said, people got equal opportunity here. Language is not a major factor here.

IELTS general has been accepting for immigration purpose globally.
NS is accepting file with IELTS academic as well as your education should be in English or employment letter plus French language also.

So it doesn't matter about IELTS. May be some people have applied with French certification.

Q: Do I need to take the IELTS General test if I've already passed the IELTS Academic?
A: No, you don't. You need to prove that you have good ability in English or French, and the IELTS Academic will do that. The different ways that you can prove language competence are outlined in the application guide.

Congratulation Bluemav, all the best and hope you will get your nomination soon. I noticed from tracking sheet that you already have relatives in Canada. If no problem, may I ask you if your relative live in NS or other province? as I my sister-in-law lives in ON, and I think it may weaken my application.
