Hi All,

The below is my case, please need an advise.

Currently working in Montreal, Quebec (client).
Employer base location is Toronto.
I have been in Montreal for 2 years and applied under CEC.
I have also prior experience in Toronto for 2 years before and working for the same employer.
I applied under CEC in May and received my AOR in the last month.

What are the chances of getting query. Does anybody under the same situation, if so please share the experience.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Chances are you will be rejected, unless you provided compelling evidence that you really intend to reside outside qubec.

Hi JSM0085,

Just out of curious - Does anybody has this case recently got rejected?

I work for toronto employer and the reference letter that i have provided is for the toronto company. My current work permit is an ICT and it does not show the location as montreal in it and it shows as unknown. To prove not intend to live in quebec, if my employer provides a letter stating I'm in montreal for a project and it ends in lets say 2014 december and after that the employee will retrun back to Toronto. Is this suffice?
Please advise.

Well I'm yet to see one be approved. :)

It may, but I think it's unlikely.

Congrats waiting84
Enjoy the PRdom.... :D

I was in the same situation last year. I decided to change my employer and shift to Toronto with a new work permit and new employer,
now i have applied in July with 4 months of experience from employer in Ontario and 3.5 yrs in Montrel, Quebec.
I havent received AOR yet, lets see hw it goes.
It is better to stay outside of Quebec when you apply for CEC. Chances are high they ask you to get CSQ from Quebec the moment they see ur address in Quebec.

Why dont you apply for CSQ parallely, tehy have a new program announced in August which has more cap than federal program itself.
Why dont you try

I guess other than NOC 2174, you must have some diplomatic connections with CIC... Just kidding ;D
Many congratulations and best wishes for you and your family's bright future!

Hi Montrealappl,

Thanks for prompt reply.
To apply for CSQ, the only problem I see is learning french. I heard now they have increased the score to obtain in the french exam.
So the only option I see to apply for federal. The only advantage I see for me is - My employer is located in Toronto and I work to client in montreal.
In my reference letter, it was mentioned that my employment is with Toronto employer. I also can get a transfer letter from my employer for province change.

can someone shed light on my situation, will the above proofs are suffice to convince the VO?

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/rules-procedures.html

Refer to the link above, new prgram announced for quebec in August, 2013.
20,000 new applications and they dont need French anymore.

Got my GCMS today

GCMS says For me (principal applicant)
1) Eligibility = Passed
2) Security = Not started
3) Criminality = In process
4) Medical = Not started

GCMS says For spouse
1) Eligibility = No mention of eligibility
2) Security = Not started
3) Criminality = Not started
4) Medical = Not started

Is it normal that they did not start checking criminality for spouse???

Guys,
Does anyone know what exactly triggers MR in your GCMS? I've seen some threads where MR email was sent the same day eligibility was passed for previous year applicants (2011, 2012). I believe most (if not all) of "2013 in process" applicants have passed eligibility criteria so not sure what is holding up the MR? Any thoughts?

If you look at the notes towards the back, does it say sent to CPPO for verification of ref. etc?

Hi JSM
Yes it says the same regarding letter of employment ... :)

Is it normal that there has been no criminality check started on my spouse, are they waiting for mine to finish? I thought they would do at parallel. We have submitted all PCCs.

I really wouldn't worry about it. Chances are it's been started and not updated...
