2013"in process" applications

Hi guys,

I'm starting this thread for those who have applied in 2013 and have "in process" ecas status.

Mine changed to "in process" a few days after receiving an AOR, and a full week later I got a rejection email.

It looks like CPC-Sydney has started doing full eligibility checks there, before forwarding applications to Ottawa. I might be wrong, but it seems that if your application status stays "in process" for a few weeks, it's pretty safe to say that becoming a PR is just a matter of waiting. Unless, of course, you fail medicals or security checks.

I'm waiting to receive my GCMS notes so I can see what EXACTLY the VO didn't like, and then I'm going to reapply.

The rejection email was a bit.. vague, but it was about my qualifying experience.

@pmpm: did you get an email about the docs from CIC? Weird you got a response from Ottawa with file still at Sydney. Please elaborate...
I haven't called CIC regarding my file status as I have sent an email with NOA but so far no reply from Sydney as to weather they have received and updated my file with NOA.
Let's keep sharing as and when we hear anything from CIC

Since I need to send originals, I e-mailed CPP-Ottawa (a week after getting AOR) to confirm if they received my file. From there I got a reply "Our records show that your file is still at the Centralized Intake Office. Please contact them to confirm where to mail police certificate - CIO‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry@cic.gc.ca.". After this I checked my ECAS status and found "in process".

Same day, I wrote to CIO-Sydney and got an automated reply that any response will be made after 20 days. Its been 10 days so far...I have decided to wait. However I am a little worried about my background form (I need to send an updated form) if processing has also started.... :

You guys please keep updated if you hear anything regarding which office your file is or after you send documents.

@godzilla: you and your table... Man I'm sure you are definitely going to create a mathematical correlation b/w NOC and processing!! ;D

@pmpm: did CIC contact you to send the updated background form? if so, then you can see if it was emailed from Ottawa or Sydney.

I've sent mine to Sydney on Apr 19th but so far no response

No CIC did not contact me, its just some information that I missed while filling application.
My guess is you should hear something next week (8th or 9th May) from Sydney, as they take 20 days to respond.

Here's hoping that the files being processed fast at Sydney also shorten the load at Ottawa so that the ones that went straight to Ottawa move up the queue.
