in my case it other way. since 5th Mar 2013, it state "we started processing your application on March 05, 2013", but i notice the Date Modified: changed every two to three months, four lines listed in ECAS has not changed since March 2013

I applied in June 2011, and it says it started processing on January 5th. I sent in all the additional documents last September.

What is the next step that's supposed to happen? And who will the correspondence go to: my parents, or my sister who is the sponsor? So far everything has gone to her email address.

Next correspondence will be sponsorship approval notification which will be sent to the sponsor (your sister). If she is receiving emails then likely sponsorship approval will be sent by email otherwise regular Canada Post mail if an email id has not been provided.

few weeks ago i have ordered second round of GCMS notes

First one was Generated on 8th March 2016 and Second one was generated on 3rd May 2016.

there was no change except Two Lines

First GCMS notes dated 8th March 2016 states the following

Updated Date: 2015/10/23 02:26:01
App Status: Open
App Status Reason: Inventory-SPR


Second GCMS notes dated 03rd May 2016 states the following

Updated Date: 2016/03/15 14:37:16
App Status: Open
App Status Reason: InProgress-SPR

Does this mean that they have started looking into my File?

My concern is neither did I get an AOR that the documents were received nor did I get any sponsorship approval. The PCC and medical request came from Ottawa. I am not sure what does this mean, does this mean the sponsorship has been approved and the case is transferred to Ottawa?

In my opinion your fill is in a better positon when compared to lots of folks in 2011 batch

Similar to my case there are lots of folks here with the same situation as me

Following are my dates

Application submitted: Sep – 2011 (Aug-2011)
Document requested: Oct – 2015 (Mar-2016)
Document submitted: Nov – 2015 (Apr-2016)
As of now my case is still open
PCC requested: Not received (18-May-2016)
Medical requested: Not received (18-May-2016)

And technically as per CPC-M they state they process the files based first come service first server, in that case you are in much better state when compared to others

If you are still worried, best thing you could do is request for GCMS notes, by paying $5.00 on line in 30 days you will receive Notes on your file

Hi Everyone.

A letter dated 29-Apr-2016 received from CIC today stating 'You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the application for Permanent Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in New Delhi for further processing. The visa office was selected based on your relative's home address and the requirements of the immigration and Refugee Protection Act.' However, my ECAS status has not changed till the date.

Was it a letter in post or an email ? Where do you live? Just trying to understand why it took so many days for a letter dates 29-apr.

Good Morning everyone. Today marks 5 years since my applications were received by CIC. I received two emails this morning from Port of Spain (local visa office) stating that my both of my applications were received. I never received any approval letter and my Ecas has not been updated. When you said Applications were received. did they say what would be the next step

a. as a Sponsor

b. as a Applicants

Normally letter for CIC they would talk about what would happen next, so did they talk about submitting your passport, medical, Police Certificate etc

I am assuming that I must have been approved as a sponsor or their files would not have been transferred. They were contacted by the LVO, the emails were sent to me because I am their representative. I guess the LVO will be sending emails for medicals and police certificates next.

it sounds good, in your case

so now your parents have UCI number, based on the UCI, Name, date of Birth and Country you should be able to see their file status
